No. Coaches set their own bank details and parents pay them directly using a one-shot reference RinkHQ generates. The platform doesn't hold money or charge a commission on bookings.
Parents can self-cancel up to 24 hours before the lesson. After that, contact the coach. When a coach cancels a paid lesson, the parent gets an automatic refund-due email so they know what's owed and how to reconcile.
Coaches add their EIHA licence number and DBS expiry to their public profile. We surface a green “RinkHQ verified” mark only when we've manually checked the documents. Medical notes on each skater carry a severity flag so anything “coach must read” floats to the top of the rinkside view.
Yes — the platform itself is free for coaches and parents during the 2026 season. We'll introduce paid features (bulk SMS, custom branding, accountant exports) later in the year, with a free tier kept for individual coaches.
Yep. Generate a 6- or 8-week block of weekly lessons in one click. Parents can either book a single week or book the whole block — settled with one shared reference. Skipped weeks (your own holiday) are surfaced when you set them in your availability calendar.
Yes — multi-coach studios are supported. Coaches each get their own page; the studio gets a shared page that lists every member coach and their open sessions. Useful for ice schools or rinks running a programme across multiple instructors.
