The deal, briefly.

RinkHQ is a booking and admin tool for UK junior hockey coaches. Coaches publish sessions; parents book skaters in; the platform handles reminders, attendance, and basic accounting.

RinkHQ doesn’t move money. Coaches set their own bank details and parents pay them directly via bank transfer or cash. We surface the payment reference and amount; the rest is between you.

You need an account to book or to coach. Keep your password private. One account per person — don’t share logins. You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@rinkhq.com.

You agree to:

• Hold a current EIHA licence and a valid DBS check.
• Be insured for the activity you’re publishing (RinkHQ doesn’t insure you).
• Honour booked sessions or refund affected parents promptly when you cancel.
• Look after the data of every parent and skater you have a booking with — most importantly medical notes and emergency contacts.
• Respect photo-consent toggles on each player record.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate skater details, including any medical conditions the coach should know about.
• Pay confirmed bookings using the reference shown — bank transfer or cash, agreed with the coach.
• Cancel as soon as you know you can’t make it (you can self-cancel up to 24h before; after that, contact the coach).

When a coach cancels a paid lesson, RinkHQ emails the parent that a refund is due — but the coach handles the actual refund directly. Cash bookings get cash back; bank transfers get a return transfer. RinkHQ provides the reference and amount; we don’t mediate disputes.

Parents can leave reviews after completed sessions. The coach decides which reviews to publish on their public profile. Reviews must be accurate first-person accounts — no defamation, no fictional accounts, no harassment.

Don’t use RinkHQ to harass, defame, or harm anyone. Don’t scrape the public surface for resale. Don’t pretend to be a coach you’re not. We’ll terminate accounts found doing any of the above without warning.

The coach is responsible for the safety, supervision, and quality of every session they publish. RinkHQ is the booking record — not the operator of the lesson and not the insurer of the activity. To the extent permitted by UK law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the platform.

We’ll update these terms from time to time. Material changes get an email to active accounts. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
