RinkHQ terms of service for coaches and parents using the platform.
RinkHQ is a booking and admin tool for UK junior hockey coaches. Coaches publish sessions; parents book skaters in; the platform handles reminders, attendance, and basic accounting.
Lesson money goes to the coach, not to RinkHQ. Parents pay the coach directly — by card (processed by Stripe, settling straight to the coach’s own Stripe account), bank transfer, cash, or PayPal. RinkHQ takes no commission on bookings; the coach’s subscription is the only money RinkHQ itself charges. See Payments.
You need an account to book or to coach. Keep your password private. One account per person — don’t share logins. You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@rinkhq.app.

Parents pay coaches in one of four ways. RinkHQ takes no commission on any of them.
For bank transfer, cash, and PayPal, the payment settles directly between parent and coach — RinkHQ records the status against the booking but doesn’t process the money.
Coaches choose a plan: Free (up to 5 sessions per calendar month), Coach (£15/month), or Studio (£20/month) — per coach. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
You can cancel or change your plan at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard. When a paid subscription ends, your account, public page, and roster stay intact — you return to the Free plan, which means the 5-sessions-a-month cap applies again and paid features (recurring series, waitlists, credit tools, payment reminders, rink codes, calendar feeds, studio) lock until you re-subscribe.
The subscription covers the software only. It is separate from lesson money, which always goes to the coach.
Parents can self-cancel a booking up to 24 hours before the lesson; inside 24 hours, contact the coach.
Credit first.Whenever a paid booking is cancelled — by the parent, by the coach, or because the lesson itself is cancelled — RinkHQ automatically credits the parent the booking’s full value with that coach: the money paid, plus any credit that had been applied to the booking, restored. The credit applies to the parent’s next booking with the same coach.
Parents who prefer the money back can ask the coach to refund instead. Card payments are refunded through Stripe, which automatically removes the matching credit; bank transfer, cash, and PayPal refunds settle directly between parent and coach. RinkHQ provides the references, amounts, and the credit ledger; payment disputes remain between parent and coach.
Parents can leave reviews after completed sessions. The coach decides which reviews to publish on their public profile. Reviews must be accurate first-person accounts — no defamation, no fictional accounts, no harassment.
Don’t use RinkHQ to harass, defame, or harm anyone. Don’t scrape the public surface for resale. Don’t pretend to be a coach you’re not. We’ll terminate accounts found doing any of the above without warning.
The coach is responsible for the safety, supervision, and quality of every session they publish. RinkHQ is the booking record — not the operator of the lesson and not the insurer of the activity. To the extent permitted by UK law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the platform.
We’ll update these terms from time to time. Material changes get an email to active accounts. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
These terms are between you and RinkHQ (operator details to be confirmed before launch).
